Dark Wind Blowing by Jackie French is written beautifully. It is about a boy named Lance who gets hold of some poison and takes it to school. He threatens his classmates saying “If I drop this poison you’ll all die”. He accidentally drops the poison and runs away. The people in his class, including his teacher, start to become sick. The other kids start getting worried so Mike thinks it’s up to him to save Jazz and everyone else so he tries to find Lance. When he catches him what does he find out about the poison?

I would recommend this book to readers aged 10 and up. It’s a great read and keeps you captivated throughout. It is a drama/thriller. I would rate it nine and a half out of ten because I love this great and exciting book.
