Twisted is a fantastic novel about a teenage girl called Jesse Sharp who is forced to become a secret agent for her kidnappers, C2, an unknown organisation.  Her parents have been killed on purpose in a car crash so she can be kidnapped by C2.  Will she ever know her twin sister?  A man dies in an avalanche just before she is supposed to meet him. C2 wants Jesse to claim the body for special tests. Jesse begins to think that C2 has forced her to act against her own good will. A mysterious video tape featuring her twin sister shows that her twin sister has been kidnapped. Jesse sets out to save her twin sister and to discover the circumstances of the avalanche and the death of the man.

This exciting adventure is mixed with elements of murder and mystery.  I found Twisted an easy to read book.  It left me wanting to find out about the next book in the Spy Girl series.  There are no illustrations, except for the front cover, so it gives you the chance to imagine your own characters and settings.  I recommend this book to all kids aged 10 to 14, especially girls.  I liked it a lot and I am looking forward to reading more of Christine Harris’ books.
