At Gold Creek School we welcome students from many different backgrounds. Currently we have over 44 languages spoken within our school community. Within the school we have specific programs to support students who have English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D). Within these special support programs, students develop skills in speaking and writing in English, and learn to read for meaning in all key learning areas.
Students are supported in the mainstream classrooms or are withdrawn for individual or small group work with the EAL/D teacher(s).
At Gold Creek School we have an International Student Coordinator who works closely with students to ensure that their academic, social and welfare needs are being met.
